You must apply directly to the high commission for this visa. No third party can assist.

The Nigerian High Commission has strict and detailed rules and requirements for obtaining a visa. Failure to meet these in total will result in rejection. Visa fees are not refunded.

Applicants who are church or mission or religious visitors of any kind require Immigration Approval from the NIS (Nigerian Immigration Services) in Abuja. Applicants engaged in religious or evangelical activities of any kind require Temporary Work Permit (TWP) approval from the Nigerian government. Do not apply for a visit visa. Applicants seeking to visit "Prophet Joshua" will not receive a visa due to the level of fraud committed by that group in past years.

Applicants seeking to visit a person in Nigeria MUST prove they have met their Nigerian invitor face-to-face using photographs and documents. If you have only met on the internet then you will not be granted a visit visa. You must prove you have previously been together in the same room at the same time. You also need a letter of employment confirmation from your employer.

Applicants seeking TWP (work) visas must provide the official NITEL and CAC certificate from Nigeria.

Applicants seeking tourist visas MUST provide hotel bookings for ALL days they are in Nigeria, and a copy of the Nigerian ID card of the hotel manager. You also need a letter of employment confirmation from your employer.

Applicants seeking tourist visas or visit visas MUST provide bank receipts proving they have purchased at least US$100 per day for all days they will be in Nigeria (as shown by the air ticket). A one week visa would require US$700 in currency purchase. The receipt must bear your name. You also need a letter of employment confirmation from your employer.

Although the computer will give you an appointment date and time, there is no interview for Canadian citizens. Do not travel to Ottawa for the appointment.

Please ship all documents and your passport, as well as a self-addressed return CANADA POST PRIORITY or XPRESSPOST ENVELOPE ONLY. Please note that no other courier service is acceptable and that the High Commission does not address envelope on behalf of applicants.

The processing country is CANADA (not Nigeria) on the electronic application.

All applications start here https://immigration.gov.ng and are paid for here https://www.innovate1services.com/cms/services before being shipped to the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa.
