Do I Need a Visa to Visit Norway?

Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not require a visa to enter Norway for tourism or business stays under ninety (90) days.

Most other nationals are required to have a visa to enter the country.

Non-Canadians must apply IN PERSON at the Danish Embassy or Consulate (Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver) for the European Customs Treaty zone visa. Visa seekers are advised that they must seek visas directly and in person from the embassy or consulate as they will be interviewed and fingerprinted and biometrically scanned

Non-Canadians must make an appointment directly with the appropriate Danish consulate and attend the IN PERSON interview and fingerprinting. You must contact the embassy for the appointment. The embassy will tell you which documents to bring to your appointment.

Norway is a signatory of the European Customs Agreement on border control and visa standardization.

Due to Norwegian government regulations, no third party can assist you with your visa needs. Travelers to Norway are advised that they must seek visas directly from the Danish consular offices in Canada as they will be interviewed and biometrically scanned / fingerprinted.

Due to a Nordic representation agreement, the Danish Embassy handles all applications for visa and residence permits for all of the Scandinavian countries.
