Do I Need a Visa to Visit Norway?
Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not require a visa to enter Norway for tourism or business stays under ninety (90) days.
Most other nationals are required to have a Schengen visa to enter the country.
Apply IN PERSON at the nearest DANISH Embassy or Consulate for the Schengen Zone visa.
Non-Canadians must apply IN PERSON at the nearest Embassy or Consulate of the country which is their main or first destination.
Norway is a signatory of the Schengen area Agreement on border control and visa standardization. The application for a Schengen area visa is the same for all members. Prices vary depending on the country of your first arrival.
Travelers to Norway are advised that they must seek visas directly from the DANISH Embassy in Ottawa or from the nearest Consulate General.
Due to Norwegian government regulations, we are unable to assist you with your visa needs. Travelers to Norway are advised that they must seek visas directly from the Danish consular offices in Canada as they will be interviewed and biometrically scanned / fingerprinted.
Due to a Nordic representation agreement, the Danish Embassy handles all applications for visa and residence permits for all of the Scandinavian countries.
