Do I Need a Visa to Visit Indonesia?

Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport do not require a visa to visit Indonesia for the purposes of tourism. Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport qualify for a thirty (30) day visa waiver upon arrival at Jakarta or Bali international airports (and 124 designated border crossings and several other int'l airports).

Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport should have a visa to visit Indonesia for the purposes of Business.

Nationals of the following countries will require the authorization from the Indonesian Government in order to be issued a visa:
Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Bangladesh, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Cambodia, Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Israel, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Malawi, Mali, Mongolia, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tonga, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen.

MULTIPLE-ENTRY VISAS REQUIRE PERMISSION FROM THE GOVERNMENT. Effective immediately all applicants seeking multi-entry visas must have a Letter of Authorization from the Directorate General of Immigration. To obtain the authorization letter, the applicant should request his/her sponsor in Indonesia to apply on his/her behalf.
